How Is My 52weekx Data Saved?
When you choose to save your data in this browser, 52weekx stores your activities directly on your device, inside your browser (like Chrome, Safari, or Edge).
This is fast and private, but it is not a permanent guarantee. The browser is always in control.
What “Data Persisted” Really Means
- Your data is stored only on this device and this browser
- It is not stored on 52weekx servers
- If the browser removes its stored data, your activities are lost on that device
Even if you see messages like “data persisted”, the browser can still decide to clear it later.
Why Your Data Might Disappear
Your browser may delete data when:
- You clear history, cookies, or site data
- Your device is low on storage and the browser frees up space
- You uninstall or reinstall the browser
- You reset your device or get a new phone
- You use private/incognito mode (data there is always temporary)
This can happen without any warning from 52weekx.
How to Protect Your Activities
To keep your plans safe, you should do regular backups:

Export your data
Use the export option in 52weekx to download your activities to a file. -
Store the file somewhere safe
For example:- Your own cloud drive (iCloud, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.)
- An external drive or USB stick

Repeat regularly
Do this every so often, or after making lots of changes. -
Enable backup reminders
In the notification settings, you can set up reminders to back up.
What To Do If My Data Is Lost
If your browser data is wiped or you lose your activities:
- Open 52weekx in your browser.
- Go to the Import option.
- Select your most recent backup file.
- Confirm the import to restore your activities.
